Babcock Networks

Babcock Networks are the UK’s Biggest Power Line and Mobile phone Mast Maintainer. During my time at SOUK Digital Babcock came to us with a brief for an intranet. They knew communication through their organisation was an issue and were that their aware storage of documents on network drives and Exchange folders could be improved.

We provided consultancy, working with Babcock’s internal team across the organisation - developing a content hierarchy which covered all areas of their business. Using the Jahia CMS we then implemented a site design and created the content structure. We integrated a company contact search, which interfaced directly with Babcock’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.

We provided Jahia CMS training to 40 content editors from different departments each with their own logins and permissions to edit a certain section of the intranet. The intranet has over 600 pages, and over 1000 documents all of which are indexed by the Jahia search engine.
